ABOUT ME

Hi There!!

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name is Evi, and I am a 25-year-old adventurer from The Netherlands. I have a degree in psychology and creative studies, and I aim to merge these fields with my love for travel. But before delving into my background and experiences, I'd like to share a bit more about myself.

A brief history

Since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by travel. Inspired by my grandmother’s adventures, I started saving for my own trips, beginning with short city breaks and growing into longer journeys.

Education
Alongside traveling, I’ve always been drawn to creativity. I chose the creative school SintLucas in Eindhoven, where I studied subjects like arts and crafts, drawing, multimedia, graphic design, and art history. After four years, I graduated with honors.

Where everything comes together
I later studied psychology, which now helps me understand people from different cultures, what drives them, and what feels ‘normal’ in their world. It taught me to connect, observe, and ask better questions. Combined with my creative background, this shapes the way I tell stories and approach every project.

Me now

I'm currently proud of how things are going. I'm slowly building my own brand across different platforms. While everything is new and exciting, it's also a challenge. On the days I'm not working on my brand, I freelance for various companies, helping them with graphic design, social media, or photography. It's fantastic to spend my days being creative, coming up with fresh ideas, and bringing them to life.

My ultimate dream for EviExplores is to dive deeper into travel journalism. I want to go beyond tips and routes by telling meaningful, human-centered stories—stories about the people, cultures, traditions, and perspectives that shape a destination. With my background in psychology, I aim to create authentic, thought-provoking narratives that help viewers truly understand a country.

I envision turning these stories into short episodes that guide people through a place while sharing real insights from locals. These episodes would appear on YouTube, my website, and maybe one day even on a major streaming platform.

Once EviExplores is fully established, I’d also love to create and sell products—like smart travel gadgets or T-shirts with my own designs.
