Senza Pari Italian Restaurant

October 2024, August 2025 – Evi Goossens

Project Overview

Senza Pari is an Italian restaurant in the city center. After starting my own freelance work, they asked me to help with various graphic design tasks, and I was thrilled to take it on. The project was a long-term collaboration, including the creation of new winter menus, social media templates, and designs for the summer terrace. I was fully involved throughout the entire process—from brainstorming and design to photography.

My Creative Role

I was responsible for updating and maintaining the restaurant’s visual identity while keeping it recognizable.

  • Concept Direction & Visual Identity

  • Graphic Design for Menus & Social Media Templates

  • Photography

I created two different menus reflecting the winter and summer seasons. The winter menu maintained a more refined, elegant feel, while the summer menu embraced a playful and approachable style suitable for the new terrace. All visual elements had to work harmoniously within the restaurant’s brand identity.

The Story Concept

Senza Pari’s original colors—bright green and red—felt too busy for the new designs. I adapted the shades to create a calmer and more balanced palette, while still remaining true to the brand.

The goal was to highlight the restaurant’s fresh, handmade dishes and showcase different services and special menu items. To support this, I developed an Instagram “content framework” that guided the templates and visual posts, ensuring a consistent and visually appealing social media presence.

Process & Approach

  • Brainstormed concepts and created moodboards and mind maps.

  • Discussed ideas with the client for approval before moving into design.

  • Designed the menus, visual identity, and social media templates.

  • Regularly updated designs and made small adjustments to match the restaurant’s evolving needs.

  • Captured photos of dishes and the restaurant environment to complement the graphics and social media posts.

Final Results

It’s always rewarding to see your designs implemented in a real-world setting, especially in a restaurant visited by hundreds of people each week. While restaurants often update menus and layouts, this project provided Senza Pari with a solid graphic foundation that they can continue to build on and adapt over time

Key Takeaways

This project was special because I had complete creative freedom to explore a different area of design. From start to finish, it was incredibly satisfying to see the visual identity grow and evolve, and to know that my designs support both the restaurant and their customers.
