Geris International Marketing
September 2024, November 2025 – Evi Goossens
Project Overview
Geris is an international company trading in butter and cheese—a niche but highly dynamic market. I joined Geris in September 2024 to assist with preparations for an international trade show, but ended up staying long-term to support a wide range of marketing and creative projects.
My Creative Role
At Geris, I had broad creative responsibilities across multiple areas, which allowed me to shape the company’s visual identity, marketing presence, and event experiences:
Concept Development & Creative Strategy: Developed ideas for marketing campaigns, trade show experiences, and visual storytelling, aligning with Geris’ brand and market positioning.
Graphic Design & Visual Identity: Designed logos, graphic templates, social media visuals, internal presentations, and trade show materials.
Photography & Videography: Captured product photos, event coverage, and promotional videos to support marketing campaigns.
Creative Writing & Content Creation: Produced copy for social media, websites, intranet, and internal communications.
Event & Trade Show Design: Conceptualized and executed creative elements for international trade shows, including visuals, photography, and campaign integration.
Marketing Operations & Strategy: Contributed to internal and external marketing initiatives, including website maintenance, intranet updates, and content scheduling.
This role gave me full creative freedom, allowing me to switch between different tasks—from graphic design to photography, content creation, and strategic marketing—while ensuring a cohesive brand narrative across all channels.
The Story Concept
Being a long-term creative collaborator allowed me to work on multiple large-scale projects, often approaching each in a structured way—using mindmaps, moodboards, and research to guide the creative process.
The goal of every project was to tell Geris’ story: why they are a trusted and leading trader in butter and cheese on the international market. This meant transitioning seamlessly between graphic design, photography, and marketing strategy while ensuring the brand stood out globally. Every creative decision, whether for visual identity, content, or trade show materials, was aligned with the company’s overarching narrative.
Process & Approach
Structured work using organized folders and creative software to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Adapted my approach depending on project scope—sometimes diving straight into execution, other times following a detailed creative process for more complex initiatives.
Developed concepts through sketches, mindmaps, and iterative design, adjusting based on client feedback.
Managed projects of varying timelines—from single-day deliverables to multi-month efforts like international trade shows.
Collaborated closely with talented team members, drawing inspiration and support throughout the creative process.
Final Results
During my time at Geris, I completed a significant number of projects at a fast pace, gaining hands-on experience across multiple creative disciplines. I participated in international trade shows, traveled for shoots and meetings, and was involved in nearly every aspect of the company’s marketing. This experience gave me invaluable insight into creative problem-solving on a large scale, as well as the chance to collaborate with inspiring professionals. I am proud of the work I contributed and the impact it had on the company.
Key Takeaways
This project was special because it allowed me to work across diverse creative areas—client interaction, web development, design, photography, videography, and event production—while traveling to international events. It was an exhilarating whirlwind of ideas, execution, and collaboration with amazing people.
