Working with new clients is one of my favorite phases of any project. Discovering how to help someone using your creativity and ideas is incredibly exciting. From mood boards to spontaneous ideas that can change everything — I love it all. Over the past months, I’ve had the chance to look back on some amazing collaborations in Peru, Germany, and the Netherlands. Nothing was too crazy.
Before my trip to Peru, I had the opportunity to work with two major tour operators there. Both needed new promotional material for several of their tours, and I was more than happy to help. I started with a plan and a mood board to show what they could expect from me, and I kept them updated along the way. That built mutual trust, which only strengthened the entire project.
Besides my photography assignments abroad, I was also able to work on great shoots back home in the Netherlands. Each one was slightly different — which is exactly what makes them so fun. From travel tours to product shoots, portraits, and events, I’ve learned that I really enjoy the variety. And the same goes for photography while traveling: portraits, landscapes, architecture, food, products — every day brings something new.
Photography is something I absolutely love, but I also work in marketing for several companies. This includes creative marketing such as graphic design, social media management, and, in the case of Geris, organizing international trade fairs. Together with my colleague, we were responsible for everything behind the scenes at one of the world’s largest food expos: ANUGA in Cologne, Germany, an incredibly important event for Geris.
The amount of work that went into this project spanned months. From social media planning to stand design, brochure design, promotional videos, meetings with stand builders and other key partners — it included everything from the smallest details to huge tasks on the expo floor. It was an unbelievably large project, and I’m incredibly proud when I look back on it. Everything looked amazing, and all our hard work truly paid off.
